Amino Age

When we taste tested Amino Age, we noted that it has a slightly sweet/sour taste… a bit more on the s-l-i-g-h-t-l-y sour side but not overpowering or unpleasant at all. The taste is subtle enough that no sweeteners were deemed necessary. Taurine has a sour taste while glycine—which is the amino acid with the highest amounts in a serving of Amino Age—has a sweet taste to it. Carnosine has no taste to it. The result is that the taste of glycine and taurine nearly cancel each other out, leaving a very slight, but not unpleasant at all, taste. 

The three BCAA (leucine, isoleucine, valine), such as found in Endurance BCAA+, have primarily exercise performance-enhancing benefits. The body needs BCAA to satisfy a small percentage of its energy requirements during prolonged bouts of exercise, helping to protect against lean muscle tissue breakdown. BCAA supplementation has also been shown to decrease the perception of fatigue on both a mental and physiological basis.

Amino Age contains four different amino acids/amino acid compounds that provide a tremendously wide range of benefits, overwhelmingly so for many aspects of overall health, but they also have some benefits for athletic performance. It is most certainly okay and beneficial to use both products. 

All of the benefits of the four amino acids in Amino Age can be found in the INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN tab. No weight loss/weight gain effects are mentioned there or are attributed to these nutrients. Once you read about all the benefits listed for each nutrient in Amino Age, you will no doubt come to the conclusion that it is a product that provides an incredibly wide range of powerful benefits for overall health.

There are different nutrients in each of the products, so when you take them both you're providing your body with a plethora of additional benefits (augmenting and complementing what you're receiving via Mito Caps and other Hammer Nutrition supplements), that will—in an even greater way—positively influence many aspects of overall health.

Yes, Amino Age may be mixed in hot beverages. This is completely acceptable and should not have any negative effect whatsoever with the potency and stability of each of the four amino acids in the product.

All of the information we've reviewed suggests that while the various amino acids in the product (glycine, taurine, l-citrulline, carnosine) are fairly stable in high heat, it’s best to not cook or bake with them. Adding them to hot foods will not negatively affect any of these amino acids, but high heat baking/cooking may.

We are Hammer Nutrition Philippines, the official distributor of Hammer Nutrition in the Philippines, and we import directly from Hammer Nutrition USA. It depends on the batch we have in stock. Right now most of our stock has at least a year left, and many items have 2 to 4 years, with expiry dates running up to 2031. Hammer Nutrition supplements also show a manufacture (MFG) date on the label. If you need a specific expiry date, message us by email at sales@hammernutrition.ph or on Viber before you order and we will check it for you. We update this FAQ as new stock arrives.
