Our focus on excellence starts with our sources. While many businesses outsource their production to overseas facilities to boost their bottom line, Hammer Nutrition products are made in the U.S. That's always been our standard.
In addition, all Hammer Nutrition products have been, and will continue to be, produced only in facilities that are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant. GMP guidelines provide a system of processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure that manufacturers meet exacting standards for quality assurance and quality control. SQF 2000 (GFSI) CERTIFIED LEVEL 3
Hammer Gel and all Hammer Nutrition powdered fuels are produced in a facility that holds Level 3 Certification under SQF 2000.
The Safe Quality Foods Program (SQF) is recognized by retailers and food service providers around the world that require a rigorous, credible food safety management system. It was launched in Australia in 1994. Since 2004, it has been administered by the SQF Institute, a division of the Food Marketing Institute. Thousands of companies in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and in Asia have received SQF certification.
The SQF Code Level 2 and 3 are Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked food safety standards. Each code is divided into three levels of certification, indicating the level of development of a supplier's safety and quality systems. GFSI benchmarked standards are recognized worldwide and accepted, recommended, and required by some of the largest international retailing groups.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU, THE CONSUMER?
Companies throw the word "quality" around expecting everyone to "take their word for it." The truth is that quality is only as good as it can be proven.
Independent quality programs such as NSF and SQF carry out detailed annual and semi-annual facility audits. Their audit reports point out even the smallest deficiencies and require firms to find the root cause and put corrective and preventive action plans in place. Companies that do not comply risk losing their registration and certification.
